Campbell County Constable kicks off campaign website

Cold Spring - District 1 Constable and Campbell County Republican Party Chairman Jeff Kidwell has launched his newly re-designed website this week to kick off his campaign for re-election.

District 1 covers most of the southern part of Campbell County which includes Wilder, Alexandria, Cold Spring, Mentor, Grant's Lick, California etc.

Mr. Kidwell has been an elected Constable since 1995 and has had close ties with many Campbell County Police agencies. Kidwell touts these relationships and his experience on his website along with the description and history of what the Constable's position is all about.

The address for the website is www.jeffkidwell.com

The site also allows supporters to sign up to work with the campaign as well as requesting yard signs, bumper stickers and other campaign materials.

Mr. Kidwell has gained notoriety since becoming Chairman of the Campbell County Republican Party for his tenacity and skill in party building and campaign management. In my opinion, under the direction of Chairman Kidwell, we can look forward to many Republican successes this year.

As a Campbell County citizen and a member of the Campbell County Republican Party Executive Committee, I wish Mr. Kidwell the best of luck and I look forward to working with him on another successful campaign.

Senator Jim Bunning holds very successful fundraiser

It was a pleasure to attend the fundraiser yesterday for Campbell County's very own Senator Jim Bunning. The event was held at the home of John Mocker, long time friend and supporter of Senator Bunning, and the special guest was fellow hall of famer Tommy Lasorda.

The event was completely packed and Senator Bunning and Tommy Lasorda gave fantastic speeches. I would have never thought that Tommy Lasorda was such a funny guy, but he had everyone in stitches. It was great to see so many Campbell County Republican supporters at the event, and I'm sure we will all work very hard next year to send Senator Bunning back to Washington to continue his fight to protect our country and our way of life.

Bunning Speaks Out on Massive Government Spending

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- U.S. Senator Jim Bunning (R-KY) today issued the following statement in regards to the passage of the so called “American Recovery and Investment Act” which passed the House of Representatives last night and did not garner any Republican support.

“This is not a stimulus package, but a massive government spending bill that my grandchildren and great grandchildren will have to pay for,” said Bunning. “This bill will cost $350 billion over the next ten years just in interest alone. If President Obama, Speaker Pelosi, and Majority Leader Reid wanted to really stimulate the economy they would permanently cut taxes on individuals, investment, and businesses. There is a disconnect between the Obama administration and Congress. While President Obama is preaching bipartisanship, the House and Senate Democrats are practicing partisanship.”

Lt. Governor Dan Mongiardo enters Senate Race

The associated press announced today that Lt. Governor Dan Mongiardo has announced his candidacy for the Democrat nomination to run against incumbent Senator Jim Bunning. AP Story

This unfortunately isn't the first time that Lt. Governor Dan Mongiardo has shown bad judgement. No, this isn't a picture of the proud father at his Daughter's wedding. Keep in mind, when their relationship began, he was a 44 year old man and she was a 19 year old fresh out of high school.
