Lt. Governor Dan Mongiardo enters Senate Race

The associated press announced today that Lt. Governor Dan Mongiardo has announced his candidacy for the Democrat nomination to run against incumbent Senator Jim Bunning. AP Story

This unfortunately isn't the first time that Lt. Governor Dan Mongiardo has shown bad judgement. No, this isn't a picture of the proud father at his Daughter's wedding. Keep in mind, when their relationship began, he was a 44 year old man and she was a 19 year old fresh out of high school.

So how do you define "inappropriate" ?


In a move that sounds like a prelude to thought crimes or maybe a gradeschool version of the fairness doctorine but certainly sounds like something out of George Orwell's 1984,


Mason school officials said they are taking a proactive educational approach in advance of next week's planned Inauguration Day activities.

"Inappropriate comments that may make other students, staff or families feel unwelcome or uncomfortable in school or on the bus will not be tolerated," Superintendent Kevin Bright said in an e-mail sent to parents Monday, Jan. 12.

Taunya Jack Sworn in as new Campbell County Circuit Clerk


We are pleased to announce that Taunya Nolan Jack, 41, has been appointed Campbell Circuit Clerk and replaces Democrat Tom Calme, who has retired.

Jack, a California, Ky., Republican, was appointed by Campbell Circuit Judge Julie Reinhardt Ward and sworn into office at 11:30 a.m.

She will serve through 2010, but also plans to run for election to the office that year.

In a statement Jack said she pledges to "manage a professional, organized and efficient clerk's office with courtesy towards all officials and the public."

Jack is a graduate of Bishop Brossart High School and Northern Kentucky University. She and her husband, Jeffrey, have a son, Nolan.

The Campbell County Republican Party will resume phone banking this week to contact our fellow party members in Campbell County and contiune to grow the infrastructure of our party. Larry Flint wants a bailout for the porn industry....


In an announcement that launched a thousand unprintable puns, adult-entertainment moguls Larry Flynt and Joe Francis said Wednesday that they are asking Washington for a $5 billion federal bailout, claiming that the porn business is suffering from the soft economy.
